A series of firsts

So, this is tagging? I'm very pleased to have been asked to join in. Siobhan on her blog myrustyhalos has tagged my blog to write about my firsts. This is my first tag, so hold on tight, here goes!

First boyfriend?
Gavin Pretorius. A lovely boy, a bit older than me at 15. After our first kiss, I dropped my head on to his shoulder and left a lipstick smear on his white shirt collar. It never came out!
First person you kissed?
Gavin Pretorius!
First job?
Biomedical Scientist at the South African Institute for Medical Research. I was lucky to get the job as I had no experience but my first boss saw the potential in me. Thanks, Theresa.
First pay packet? What did you do with it?
Paid the mortgage. My boyfriend (a medical student) and I threw caution to the wind and bought a flat near the medical school. It was very romantic, his parents hated it! (And still do).
First CD you remember buying?
CD??!! It was an LP, vinyl record of Yazoo 'Upstairs at Erics'. I loved Alison Moyet's voice then and still do now.
First holiday abroad?
Well, I lived in South Africa until my early twenties, so didn't travel abroad until my first trip to the UK in the 1990's, when we decided we wanted to live in the UK. We travelled from London, to the South West, then headed North, up to Scotland, ending up in Edinburgh via Glasgow, Isle of Mull, Inverness and Pitlochry, then back down to Heathrow on the East Coast. Fabulous trip, loved the country. Couldn't wait to get back to start life here.
What age were you when you moved out of your parents home?
I left home at 21, bought a flat, moved in with boyfriend, now husband, married for 20 years.
I promise I will pass on this tag to other bloggers but I'm just too tired right now.
