Forgive me, it's been a week since my last blog post
It's been a challenging week, and so many times I wanted to sit down and update the blog, but have been pulled away to do other things. As well as trying to be a communicator, I am also a carer, administrator, book keeper, general dog's body and all round good person (most of the time). My patience is wearing a bit thin, though, with a certain member of the family, not Mr B or big big dog or little big dog. Readers of my other blog will know that my Dad is a particularly challenging person, who refuses to open his post, pay his bills, clean his house, or have a nice thing to say about anyone.
The photo above is Troubled Sky?, July 2012, Lesley Beeton, and would make an excellent water colour study.
Saturday was an interesting day. Mr B worked late on Friday and all weekend, which left me to watch the Olympic ceremony on my own, walk the dogs, do the shopping, mow the lawn - and he calmly announced over his cup of tea on Saturday morning that his windscreen is cracked and needs to use my car! I was a bit cross. It cracked Friday lunchtime but apparently he didn't have time to phone me during the afternoon to ask me to arrange a replacement. So, being super efficient I sorted that all out and the windscreen was replaced on Saturday afternoon. In the meantime, Waitrose delivered groceries (and doubled up on many items, which I only found after I unpacked later, at least I wasn't charged for them) and Themba had a loss of consciousness - under the camellia bush! I tore my trousers and hurt my back picking him up. Poor thing, he had lost continence too, so I had to bath him. He looked and smelled terrible. I had a fight with Dad, who turned up for coffee in the middle of the drama and was very unhelpful. I wouldn't normally let the dogs lick yogurt off my shoe, but as I had dropped the yogurt pot on the kitchen floor, I decided to let them help me clean it up!
Here's hoping for a better week this week.
